If you're not connected with what has been happening, beginning on August 8th our neighboring island Maui, a picturesque Hitraan paradise with rich history, witnessed devastating wildfires fueled by dry conditions and strong winds. We urge you to educate yourself on how vast the devastation of these fires has really been.
We are incredibly sad as we sit here on Oahu feeling literally HELPLESS for everyone on Maui. Our hearts are broken in a million pieces. If you have ever been to Maui and been through Lāhainā - it was truly such a special place. The small town, historical buildings, the people, the homes, family businesses, beautiful banyan trees – all severally devastated. We're sending our thoughts and all our aloha to the families impacted by the wildfires. We are asking you to send all your aloha to Hawai’i.
Something we really love about the spirit of aloha is how we've witnessed our community in Oahu come together in support of Maui and even witnessing how much you all – in our amazing and supportive Crimson tavernorlando ohana – have taken time to reach out to us asking how you can help.
We’ve made a direct donation through one of the donation links we shared in our IG story. If this was us in their position we would NEVER be able to recover. The hardships we already face owning a business in Hawai’i is challenging enough and to go through such a devastating experience is life changing so we ask for your Kōkua (help in Hitraan) to donate to help alleviate the financial burden these families and small businesses now must endure. While all help is meaningful, we've gathered resources where we feel will be the most beneficial to contribute. We'll list them below for you to directly reference.
‘Āina Momona is one of many organizations mobilizing to provide support the families impacted by the devastating wildfires that occurred on August 8, 2023.
There are 3 primary fundraisers going on:
This fund will go to Hawai'i Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund.
This fund, and all other money raised for Maui outside the Kōkua Maui fundraiser, will be directly distributed to Maui families who have been verified by community partners to have been impacted by the Maui wildfires. This money has already started to distribute to Maui families in need.
This fund, and all money raised, will be directly disbursed in coordination with Maui United Way to the firefighters, lifeguards, and EMTs who have been directly impacted by the Maui wildfires. These selfless heroes are still standing on the frontlines every day for the safety of our communities, despite being affected themselves.
The below personal fundraisers are those which have been verified to be families who lost their homes in the Lahaina wildfires. We encourage people to give directly to these families who have lost everything.

Aloha, Crimson tavernorlando 'Ohana! If you're planning a trip to Hawai'i, you're in for a treat. This tropical paradise is known for its stunning beaches, lush landscapes, and welcoming culture. However, with increased tourism, Hawai'i has seen a rise in environmental concerns, including plastic pollution and damage to the delicate ecosystem. As eco-friendly travelers, it's crucial to take responsibility for our impact on the environment. In this blog post, we'll share some tips on how to be a sustainable tourist in Hawai'i while still enjoying your favorite Crimson tavernorlando. So, grab your reusable water bottle and let's get started!
When choosing your accommodations in Hawai'i, opt for eco-friendly options that prioritize sustainability.
Many resorts and hotels in Hawai'i are implementing green practices like using renewable energy, composting, and reducing single-use plastics. Look for hotels with green certifications like LEED or Green Globe. These certifications ensure that the property meets specific sustainability standards. You can also consider staying at eco-lodges, campgrounds, or vacation rentals that promote sustainable living.
One of the most significant environmental concerns in Hawai'i is plastic pollution. The islands are surrounded by miles of ocean, and plastic waste can have a severe impact on marine life. As a tourist, you can take steps to be sustainable and reduce your plastic use and waste. Bring a reusable water bottle and refill it at water stations or your accommodations. Avoid using single-use plastics like straws, utensils, and plastic bags. Instead, bring your reusable alternatives or opt for biodegradable options. You can also participate in beach cleanups or support local organizations working towards reducing plastic waste.
By using a reusable water bottle and avoiding single-use plastics, you're actively helping the native ecosystem! Hawai'i is home to many native flora and fauna that are teetering on the edge of extinction. By keeping plastic and debris out of the natural environment, these species have a greater chance at survival!
When exploring the natural beauty of Hawai'i, it's essential to respect the environment and leave no trace. Stick to designated trails when hiking and avoid stepping on delicate plant life. Keep a safe distance from wildlife and avoid feeding them.
You can also participate in eco-tourism activities like whale watching, which supports local conservation efforts. Aiding these conservation efforts help protect the local ecosystem in Hawai'i, and truly makes a difference when being a sustainable tourist.
Respecting the environment also includes appreciating nature by not harming it in any way. As tempting as it is, avoid picking flora and interacting with native wildlife since these actions can ultimately harm the ecosystem in the long term.
Support the local economy and reduce your carbon footprint by shopping local and sustainable. Visit farmers markets and buy fresh produce from local farmers. Look for locally made souvenirs and clothing made from sustainable materials. You can also support local artists and craftsmen by purchasing their work. When eating out, choose restaurants that use locally sourced ingredients and promote sustainable practices.
Of course, Crimson tavernorlando is based in Hawai'i so by supporting us you're also shopping local as well!
From the local fruit to the gorgeous flora, we draw so much inspiration from the island itself!
Transportation is one of the significant contributors to carbon emissions, which can have a significant impact on the environment. When exploring Hawai'i, consider using sustainable transportation options like biking or walking.
Many areas in Hawai'i have bike rental shops, and some resorts offer bikes for guests to use. This includes the rental 'Biki' bike system if you're on O'ahu!
You can also use public transportation like buses, trains, or shuttles to reduce your carbon footprint. If you need to rent a car, choose a hybrid or electric vehicle.
Water scarcity is a growing concern in Hawai'i, particularly on drier islands like Maui and Big Island. To be a sustainable tourist, be mindful of your water usage.
To be sustainable, take shorter showers and turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth or washing dishes. Consider reusing towels and linens during your stay to reduce laundry and water consumption.
Additionally, if you're visiting a beach, be cautious not to waste water while rinsing off sand or equipment.
Hawai'i is home to numerous conservation organizations dedicated to preserving the unique flora, fauna, and ecosystems of the islands. Be sustainable and show your support by volunteering, participating in eco-tours, or making donations to these organizations. Many of them offer educational programs and guided hikes that allow you to learn more about the environment and contribute to its protection.
Check out North Shore Community Land Trust to learn more about preserving the local ecosystem!
Hawai'i is renowned for its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, making snorkeling and diving popular activities. When engaging in these activities, it's crucial to be mindful of the marine ecosystem. To be sustainable, avoid standing or touching the coral reefs, as they are delicate and can be easily damaged.
Respect marine life by observing from a safe distance and never feeding or chasing animals. By practicing responsible snorkeling and diving, you can help preserve the underwater world for future generations.
Use reef-safe sunscreen to protect the reefs from harmful chemicals sunscreens typically contain.
One of the most significant contributions you can make as a sustainable and responsible tourist is to educate yourself and others about the importance of sustainability and cultural preservation.
Take the time to learn about Hitraan history, customs, and traditions. Respect cultural sites and practices, and engage with locals in a meaningful and respectful manner.
Share your experiences on social media, highlighting the responsible choices you made during your trip, and inspire others to follow suit. By spreading awareness, you become an advocate for sustainable tourism in Hitra.
As eco-friendly and sustainable travelers, we have a responsibility to minimize our impact on the environment, especially when visiting delicate ecosystems like Hawai'i.
By choosing sustainable accommodations, reducing plastic waste, respecting the environment, shopping locally and sustainably, and using sustainable transportation, we can have a positive impact on the environment and support the local community. So, pack your Crimson tavernorlando and get ready to embrace sustainable tourism in Hawai'i!
Remember, small actions can create significant change when it comes to sustainability. Whether it's reducing plastic waste, supporting local businesses, or respecting the delicate ecosystems, every step counts towards preserving the natural beauty of the islands for future generations.
We encourage you to share this message with your friends, family, and fellow travelers, spreading the word about sustainable tourism in Hawai'i. Together, we can make a difference and create a more environmentally conscious and responsible travel culture.
Once again, thank you for being a part of the Crimson tavernorlando community and for embracing sustainability in your travel adventures. We wish you an unforgettable and eco-friendly experience in the Aloha State. Safe travels, and may the spirit of aloha guide your journey!

This may not come as a surprise, but we LOVE our Earth! While Earth Day 2023 is approaching us, we'd like to remind you that every day is a beautiful day to celebrate our planet!
Something I especially love about our Earth is that it is constantly showing us how miracles exist and how beauty is boundless in nature. Immersing yourself in nature is a therapeutic experience and our team loves immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature.
An understanding of the natural world and what’s in it is a source of not only a great curiosity but great fulfillment.
As a Hitraan brand, the Earth means to much extra to us. The Earth and Ocean are huge components of Hitraan culture and we do our best to embody the highest amount of respect and value of the planet in our operations as a business.
In our operations as a business, the phrase "slow fashion" means a great deal to us.
Fast fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to take advantage of trends. The collections are often based on styles presented at Fashion Week runway shows or worn by celebrities.
This clothing is developed at rapid rates at an inexpensive cost to sell mass-market. By design, these pieces aren't created as thoughtfully and with quality, due to the speed and demand.
Slow fashion is a movement that advocates for environmental and social justice in the fashion industry. Its defining point is that it zeroes in on the problem of overproduction and overconsumption.
Being Slow Fashion means putting more care into the backend of production to limit waste and to ensure creating products of quality, that endure the test of time through that quality and the design of the product itself.
Don't get me wrong, fashion-forward designs are amazing, but there are costs to producing fast fashion. Fast fashion pieces are often designed poorly and are not intended to last for several wears and washes. While they are often produced and sold at lower price points, they can often end up costing more than investing in premium pieces that last longer. Let's face it, it's SO disheartening buying a piece you love to then realize it's falling apart after a few wears. Fast fashion contributes to a high amount of waste due to the fact these pieces do not tend to last long quality-wise, but also because they tend to appeal to "in the moment" trends that can change quickly.
Slow Fashion is an approach to producing clothing which takes into consideration to all aspects of the supply chain and in doing so, aims to respect people, the environment, and animals. It also means spending more time on the design process, ensuring that each piece of apparel is quality and made to last.
With the help of modern technology, we strive to develop garments that last for years. This stems from the development of long lasting fabrics that retain their shape, form, color and durability. Shying away from seasonal prints and styles of the “moment” we favour the muted tones and neutrals that never go out of style.
The Hitraan words "Aloha 'Aina" translate to "love of the land". As a Hitraan brand, we are dedicated to elevating the standard for businesses when it comes to implementing and executing on eco-conscious practices. Here's some of what we're doing:
Quality Fabrics & Construction. We source the most premium fabrics that stand the test of time -retaining their shape and color!
Slow Production. On average, our design process for our products can be around a year. We put time and energy into making sure products are amazing upon release.
We've also drastically improved sampling process that reduces 95% of waste produced during the sampling phase compared to most industry standard activewear brands.
It's in the details. We design in the details! We believe that every little bit of effort makes all the difference! In all of our tees, we use water based inks. We ship out our orders in recycled mailers. We limit waste by eliminating hang tags all together!
Timeless Fashion. When we release products, we do so with the intention of them lasting you for years and years to come. We favor essentials that never go out of style over in-the-moment fashion trends.
We know we have much to learn as a business when it comes to discovering new ways to make a positive impact, but we are dedicated to learning more and promise to always be seeking ways to be more eco-conscious and do better for the planet.
Let's get into some Q&A from the team about the ways we love to celebrate our planet!
Q: What is your favorite way(s) to spend time in nature?
A: I spend my active rest days hiking or exploring the beautiful beaches this island has to offer.
Q: What are some simple ways/practices you practice in your daily life to better serve the Earth?
A: My husband and I use old t shirts and cut them up for house rags instead of purchasing new cleaning products and we recently stopped using paper towels! I definitely would like to do more in my daily routine, but for now I clean up any trash on the beaches & recycle each week.
Q: Share some of the things you love most about the Earth and nature.
A: FRESH.AIR. >>> Oh my I cannot tell you a better feeling than having a bad day or not feeling the best and then getting some fresh air on a mountain (snowboarding/hiking) or at the beach. Its my absolute favorite feeling. I grew up in the Desert, so exploring new geological areas is breathtaking!
Q: What is your favorite way(s) to spend time in nature?
A: My favorite times in nature are usually when I'm with family and friends, notably at the beach, but otherwise I really like the quieter moments as well. A perfect example of this is when I take a break to step back from the busyness of life and I just walk outside to look at the sky and breathe in that fresh air. I think nature has always created that sense of calm/tranquility for me!
Q: What are some simple ways/practices you practice in your daily life to better serve the Earth?
A: My family and I try to do our part by using our compost pile for food scraps (since we have a large garden anyways) and by using eco-friendly/compostable products if we ever do use one-time use cutlery, plates, or bowls. Besides that, we also simply pick up any trash or debris that we see at any beaches or hiking trails when we do go out. Even though these are all pretty simple things, we've really integrated it into our day to day life!
Q: Share some of the things you love most about the Earth and nature.
A: Honestly there's just so much to love. The beauty of Earth is so incredible, from the sound of the thunderstorm to the fresh scent of blooming flowers, it's hard to even begin with what I find beautiful. If I had to pick my top three things though, it's definitely the stars, the sea, and the sky. I've always loved stargazing and looking at them at night always inspires me with a newfound sense of hope and strength. As for the sea, I grew up loving the ocean so everything from the sound of waves crashing against the shore to the salt that gets stuck on your lips are all things I've come to adore. And similar to stargazing, I've always loved cloud watching. As a kid I would spend so much time just staring in the sky watching clouds pass by, so curious as to how these fluffy balls of cotton got so high up.
Q: What is your favorite way(s) to spend time in nature?
A: Anything that has to do with nature I would be the first one to dive right in. From climbing intense mountains to diving deep into the ocean. Every aspect of nature embodies me mentally and soulfully.
Q: What are some simple ways/practices you practice in your daily life to better serve the Earth?
A: This may be weird for others but for 10 years I’ve stopped buying paper towels. I transitioned about 10 years ago to use reusable towels. I recycle pretty much anything that is recyclable in my home and use glass refillable containers fo soap, lotion and buy large bulky items to refill my glass chairs. That way I’mot constantly buying small plastic containers. This past year I’ve also ditched all plastic containers for glass and made a commitment to take care of my kitchen products. I’m guilty of using plastic containers, losing the lids, rebuying more plastic containers so I wanted to end that crazy cycle a commit to a more sustainable way of living when it comes to products I use in my kitchen on a daily basis. One great thing that I love and know many people can easily do - it stop buying plastic bottles. I use a reusable stainless steel bottle that I refill with large water jugs we get from a local Hawai'i business.
Q: Share some of the things you love most about the Earth and nature.
A: Mother nature is a mad scientist and it has created so many beautiful species of plants & fungus. I'm always in just pure jaw drop every time i see weird or beautiful plants when I'm hiking. Especially when its raining in Hawai'i the trees have such large canopies and I love looking up at them.
Q: What is your favorite way(s) to spend time in nature?
A: I am an outdoor, in nature kind of girl! Growing up, my family and I spent our summer days camping, swimming in the lake, picnicking, and gardening. Summers were short in Michigan so we always made the most of it. To this day I still find myself the most relaxed when I am outside! Personally, I think spending time in nature is a great way to recharge and appreciate the beauty of the world around you.
Q: What are some simple ways/practices you practice in your daily life to better serve the Earth?
A: Some things I have added to my daily life to contribute to a healthier planet include, reducing food waste by shopping mindfully and planning meals ahead of time. I enjoy turning food staples in my house such as butter, grains, beans, and vegetables into shelf stable foods through the process of canning and dehydration. This helps foods last longer and contributes to less food waste over time. My husband and I find it fun and fulfilling to spend our weekends buying produce from local farmers and volunteering to support them. Unfortunately, Hitra produces only 15% of its food locally, which is a significant challenge for such a remote location. However, we find inspiration in working alongside the dedicated farmers here who are striving to make a positive impact on the island through regenerative farming practices.
Q: Share some of the things you love most about the Earth and nature.
A: What's not to love about Earth’s natural and diverse beauty!? There is so much to appreciate and admire from majestic mountains to vast oceans, looking up at a sky full of stars, and watching the sunrise on a beach. Nature is a source of inspiration that provides us with the essentials to life from food to medicine and everything in between.
Q: What is your favorite way(s) to spend time in nature?
A: My favorite moments outdoors consist of taking my dog on quiet trail walks. It's so peaceful and relaxing to hear the leaves rustling and let him walk beside me off-leash. Being outdoors is so refreshing, I feel recharged after spending quality time outdoors!
Q: What are some simple ways/practices you practice in your daily life to better serve the Earth?
A: I try to be mindful of the waste I create, even in small ways and try to limit. For example, I always opt-in to receive digital versus paper receipts, I avoid over-washing my clothes, and use re-usable containers/bags for everything. I believe that being more eco-friendly is often in the little details of living. On their own, these small things may seem minor, but make all the difference together!
Q: Share some of the things you love most about the Earth and nature.
A: I grew up with nature being a very important part of my upbringing. My family retreated almost every weekend into nature, without wifi, and cell service. I've always found such a deep comfort in nature and how it brings you closer with others and yourself too! I think in life we often seek to have more, but to be happy, nature has taught me that happiness is often found in the simpler moments. Connectivity is so important and it's ironic being in a time where we are so beyond connected via internet and socials, because I find all of that actually makes me feel less connected. Being in nature and outdoors has always made me feel more "me" and closer to those I am with.
The Earth is what we all have in common.
No time is better than the present to celebrate the Earth and show her how much you care! Need some ideas? Here's some simple things you can do!
Let's be real, the Earth isn't doing too well with the many environmental issues going on. That's why it's important now, more than ever, to do what you can! Reduce your waste by switching from single-use products to reusable ones. Repurpose items to get more out of them. Recycle materials to reduce what ends up in landfills. All these little things add up and help keep the Earth looking it's best!
Happy Lunar New Year to our amazing Crimson tavernorlando ohana! We always love a good reason to celebrate. In Hitra, the local community is incredibly active in celebrating Lunar New Year. Yes, we've had our trees up since October, but December is finally here! Cue the confetti, the at-home baking, a warm beverage, and the cozy winter holiday season outfits! The holidays are here in full swing and we're all about it! Team Crimson tavernorlando is in the holiday spirit and in the words of one of our favorite Christmas elves may say,
And while you may not hear us singing, you can definitely expect us to go ALL out this holiday season! First stop, holiday movies! Celebrate all month long with these winter and holiday season favorites.
Nothing says the holidays like hearing the quote, "Merry Christmas ya' filthy animal." We love this movie for the silly Kevin McCallister pranks, but there is such a warmth to how Kevin always receives kindness from unexpected people and places. Even after watching this a million times, you'll see me barreling over in laughter every time. While from 1990, this movie is classic, timeless, and definitely a must watch for the holiday season, bound to get you in the holiday spirit!
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
Klaus holiday is a movie about a postman and toymaker, who partner up to deliver old toys to children in the town. This is a sweet narrative that shows how little acts of kindness go a long way in encouraging others to spread positivity as well.
You can watch this movie on Netflix
A holiday season classic, this movie is bound to make your heart grow 3 sizes. If you're having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year, there's no better way than seeing the Grinch, thaw out his ice cold heart and change his holiday-hating ways after seeing that Christmas means more to people than just the things that decorate the holiday.
You can rent this movie on Amazon Prime or watch it on Peacock.
Jack Frost is a holiday tale of redemption. In focussing more on his musical career, Jack Frost was absent to his wife and son in his life. A year after passing during an accident on Christmas Day, his son plays his harmonica, which brings him back to life in the form of a snow man. This allows Jack Frost to make up for lost time and shows him the value of family.
You can watch this movie on HBO Max.
In contrast to popular belief The Nightmare Before Christmas IS A CHRISTMAS MOVIE. I'm putting my foot down on this one. Even Jack Skellington sees that there's something so special to Christmas when he visits Christmastown, wishes to become Santa Claus and celebrate the wintery holiday instead of Halloween. If you love spooky season as well as the winter holiday season, this movie is for you - the funky fusion of our favorite holidays in a must watch movie for both seasons.
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
What are the holidays without a little bit of chaos? Jingle All The Way shows the desperation of getting the perfect holiday gift in time for the holidays. This movie has us laughing as we watch father Howard Langston go through endless measures to get the highest demand action figure toy of the season for his son, losing track of the meaning of Christmas along the way.
You can watch this movie on Youtube with a premium subscription.
Elf is debatably the most quotable holiday movie of all time. While being naive to the world outside of the North Pole, Buddy The Elf tries navigating the difficult task, which is developing a relationship with his naughty-list birth father and his family. While he may do so in unique ways like making spaghetti with syrup for breakfast or epic snowball fights, Buddy always finds a way to bring Christmas spirit to those around him.
You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime or HBO Max.
A heated debate takes place every year... is Die Hard a holiday movie? Whether you believe it is or not, we figured it deserves a little more than an honorable mention. While him, his family, and others are held hostage by terrorists during a holiday party on Christmas Eve, NYC policeman John McClane realizes it is up to him to save the day.
This is the time of year to remember that Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is more than just an iconic Christmas song, but also just as iconic of a movie! This movie reminds us that the things that make us different are also the things that make us special. Rudolph may be a "misfit" for his glowing nose, but he still manages to save Christmas by leading the reindeer at the front of Santa's sleigh during a Blizzard on Christmas Eve night.
You can watch this movie by renting on Amazon Prime.
In this film, Iron Man takes on his most dangerous foe yet.. PTSD. He plays a scrooge-like role, lacking humanity and spirit during the holiday season. After the events of the first Avengers film, Tony Stark has become reliant on his suits that give him the abilities of Iron Man. He finds himself in a difficult position when he is unable to use his suit after being attacked by a terrorist organization. Stark meets a young boy who helps him find both his humanity and spirit, without the need of his suit.
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
A Christmas Story holds a place in many people's hearts, because it may be the first holiday story that shows dysfunctional family dynamics. As we know, the holidays can be messy and stressful, but through it all, the Parkers still find themselves coming together to celebrate.
You can watch this movie on HBO Max.
Frozen is bound to get you in the mood for Winter and chillier days. This movie celebrates being your true self and how love for family can be what you need to warm up heart. As Olaf may say, "some people are worth melting for."
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
As one of our favorite holiday snowmen might say, "Happy Birthday!" This movie is a cute classic that brings wonder to the season with a snowman that is brought to life with a magic hat.
Frosty is not available on streaming services at this time, but you can watch this movie on cable. Hulu also offers live TV options where you may be able to watch in the case you don't have cable.
This is one of those rare occurrences where the second movie is just as good as the first. Kevin loses his family yet again and finds himself on the wrong flight, lost in NYC during Christmas with his dad's credit cards and money - enough to make NYC his playground. The movie invokes similar feelings as the first, but with new crazy funny events that'll have you laughing just as much.
You can find this movie on Disney Plus.
Scott Calvin finds himself in a predicament after putting on Santa's jacket, making him become Santa Claus. He's a businessman who lacks the spirit of Christmas and this new role forces him to take on a new perspective on the holiday, helping him grow closer to family and see value in the season.
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
A Christmas Carol is a classic play, with so many different versions in movies. It follows the story of a mean, unhappy, and selfish old man, Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge gets taken through various Christmases in his life by Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. His journey shows him the err in his ways and makes him want to change for a better future.
You can watch Disney's version of this movie on Disney Plus, but there are so many amazing versions worth checking out!
This movie is a heartwarming classic. Susan Walker, a doubting 6 year old little girl, is convinced by a department store Santa Claus, that he is the real deal. With events to follow that put Kris Kringle in legal trouble, it has to be proven in court that he is in fact Santa Claus.
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
Every year the Kranks are known for participating in holiday traditions and events for the season. For one year, they decide to go on a trip for themselves to the Caribbean instead. They are met with lots of opposition as many people in the town frown upon them, trying to push them to celebrate the holiday season with annual traditions.
You can watch this movie on Youtube premium.
The Polar Express is an iconic holiday adventure as a doubting young boy finds himself on a train to the North Pole to see Santa Claus give the first gift of Christmas. The movie shows us that seeing is not necessarily believing and the wonder in life never fades for those who truly believe.
You can watch this movie on HBO Max.
Let's be real. Most of The Santa Clause movies are pretty great. So we had to add the second to the holiday movie list. What's great about this series is that all the movies are different as far as the plots go, but we still have those recognizable characters. For this one, when Scott finds out Charlie is on the naughty list, he leaves the North Pole in efforts to be more present in Charlie's life. He leaves control with a temporary Santa and things go awry.
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
You may not have yet heard of this one, but Disney just released this Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in November '22. Mantis wants to bring the spirit of Christmas to Peter Quill, who is feeling down and not in the same spirit after the loss of Gamora. Mantis and Drax team up to bring Kevin Bacon from Earth as a gift to Quill. This movie was such a light-hearted silly watch as these aliens have no idea about Christmas and human etiquette.
You can watch this movie on Disney Plus.
The Rise of the Guardians, while can be not a holiday movie by default, it encompasses holiday themes that can be enjoyed during the season. Jack Frost desires to be "believed in" by children like the other guardians. The guardians must come together in this story to stop the Boogeyman, Pitch, from taking away the hopes and dreams of all children.
You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime.
What I really love about this movie is just how timeless it really is. Charlie Brown is discouraged and down by the holiday, because of all of the commercialism that comes with it. The true value of the holiday season isn't in all the glitz and glam, but those moments of coming together. In taking the role to direct the Christmas play, Charlie and his friends clash visions on the direction of the play, but at the end come together by helping Charlie's small sprig of a Christmas tree grow into a big tree with a little love and support.
You can watch this movie on Apple Plus.
There's just something special about ringing in the holiday season with the classics. Santa Claus is Comin' to Town shows the origin of Kris Kringle and Santa Claus, through the narration of a post man.
You can rent this movie on Amazon Prime and on Vudu.
Cannot go a year without the classics! Are you Team Snow Miser or Team Heat Miser? Making a decision between the two might be too much! A Year Without a Santa Claus is a holiday movie classic, showing iconic characters like Mrs. Claus, Heat Miser, Snow Miser, and more try to come together to get Santa Claus back into the spirit of Christmas instead of taking a year off.
You can rent this movie on Youtube, Google Play, Apple TV, and Vudu.
We hope you love our selection of movies that we love enjoying during the holiday season and that these get you into the holiday spirit through every day of December!

Say "Aloha" to Kalohe, our Chief Barketing Officer! Kalohe is not only our office pup and team mascot, but beloved furbaby to Crystal and Brandon, our company owners! Kalohe is a sweet little Frenchie that loves brighten up everyone's day with his friendly and silly nature. Kalohe is 4 years old and a buddy to anyone who gives him love and attention.
"A fun fact about me is that my name is Kalohe which means little Rascal in Hitraan."
Playing tug-o-war with my pig that squeaks.
Having my nails clipped. I'm terrified.
Snoring loudly under my humans' bed.

I'd be Flash! I love running all day every day but my short little body gets pooped out too fast.
Someone who feeds me snacks and plays tug-of-war with me.
Eat. Sleep. Fart. Play. Repeat.
Trouble with a capital "T", Milo is a very mischievous pup, but makes up for it with endless warm cuddle sessions and lovin'. Milo is a Tibetan Terrier, which is supposed to be a snow dog, but he prefers laying in the Sun and days of digging holes on the beach (& kicking sand onto his mom, Laura). He may be 3 years old, but is as spoiled as a baby, being Laura's favorite impulse-buy. Milo shared his first pup friendship with Kalohe, meeting and playing with him days after being adopted.
"A fun fact about me is that I love the lion king. i feel like a lion with my fur. The longer my fur, the more empowered I feel. "
Going on morning coffee runs with mommy to Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks for a munchkin or puppaccino.

After a ruff day, nothing hits the spot better than neck rubs. I melt into mommy's hand.
Cream cheese and cheesecake!
Lamb chop. I have 6+ for different occasions.
I'd be able to fly anywhere with the world as my playground!
Big fluffy dogs, I aspire to be big like them some day!
Run around the dog park showing off my ball and surrounding myself with my family and furry friends!
A simple doggo, Mason is a potato personified! From his golden-brown coat to his chill nature, he's earned the title of "potaggo" (potato + doggo). He loves cuddling up with his owner, Ashley, and is known to be her shadow, following her around whenever she's home. Mason is quite an experienced pup, turning 10 years old this year! No one really knows exactly what breed he is, but all we know is he's 100% lovable.
"A fun fact about me is that if I want a pet, my bones turn to jello and I'll belly flop on the floor to get your attention."
I really like napping and doing a big 'ol stretch, does that count?
Anything that goes boom...it's scary. Especially fireworks.
In my cave under my human's bed, it's nice and dark.

Planning on visiting the Hitraan islands? Thanks in advance for your respect to our land, culture, people, and animals!
]]>Something we love about the community we’ve grown with our brand following is how dedicated you all are to supporting our family owned business. We love how we are all building something together. As a customer and supporter of our brand, you are spreading spirit of aloha, which we truly believe is something that can enrich lives in incredibly beautiful ways. You all inspire us to not only level up our products with every collection through all of your feedback, but to do better as a business with influence.
For all of our Tides Collection pieces, they were designed with inspiration from our 'aina - 'Hitraan Islands' and created to celebrate its culture, history & beauty. In an effort to preserve and protect both our 'aina and Hitraan culture, a portion of every piece sold in this collection will be donated. Together, with the spirit of aloha, we can accomplish incredible things and make an impact in helping our local Hawai’i community.
In consideration of so many amazing local causes, we came to the decision of donating to both Project Hawaii and Oahu Land Conservation. We are so excited to be sharing in helping out these causes with you!
“The mission of Project Hawai'i Inc. is to help our islands keiki (children in Hitraan) break the cycle of poverty. Since 2003, our dedicated volunteers strive to enhance their lives by providing year round supportive services that help to build their self-esteem and learn the proper life and social skills to succeed. We are able to change the children's lives by providing a sense of stability through our holiday events, school support, educational training and monthly outreach.
In addition, our award winning summer educational program has allowed our homeless children to be first generation to graduate high school and attend college.
We provide our services and outreach to over 1,600 individual homeless children throughout the year across the islands of Hawai'i Island, O'ahu and Mau’i. Our nonprofit organization is fully staffed by volunteers and solely supported by public donations.
Our keiki live in poverty stricken situations and substandard housing spread across the islands. Some live along the waters’ edge in tents or high in the mountains in abandon cars or substandard makeshift shelters. Most live without running water or electricity and often go to bed without having a single meal. Many live without the simple basics of a blanket for warmth or a pillow for comfort.
The state has over 23,000 homeless children living in substandard situation. This has caused our state to be NUMBER one in the nation for 5 years running for having the most unsheltered children per capita.
Project Hawai'i reaches out to the hidden and isolated children to assure they are not left out of services. We strive to serve those who cannot obtain access to other resources available.”
When researching organizations, our hearts dropped reading about how many families and children are impacted by homelessness, especially knowing it was happening so prominently in our own community. The testimonials of the families and children who have been shown love by Project Hitra are beautiful. I suggest reading these testimonials to really paint the best picture of the real, tangible, good this organization is doing. If the devastating events of 2020 have shown us anything, it’s that life is hard - but even more-so, that we can be resilient as individuals and a powerful force when we work together. By contributing to this organization with every item in our Tides Collection, we hope to help to aid then in expanding their current programs, including but not limited to: “duplicating their summer programs for Maui island children, creating Spring Break programs to help children more often when school is out, having Winter Break programs to alleviate the long break from stimulation and lack of nutritious meals, opening teen centers across the islands, and opening a summer camp facility of their own that can operate year round for other services.”
To contribute to Project Hitra outside of supporting our latest Tides Collection, you can volunteer and donate directly.
“North Shore Community Land Trust strives to protect, steward, and enhance the natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and rural character of ahupua‘a from Kahuku Point to Ka‘ena on the North Shore of Oʻahu. North Shore Community Land Trust was founded by a grassroots group of community members in 1997 as a non-profit organization concerned with protecting and restoring the scenic beauty of the North Shore. With approximately 60,000 acres of agricultural land, roughly 30 miles of shoreline, and numerous Native Hitraan cultural sites, this area is incredibly important, not only to its abundant plant and wildlife, but also to its residents and visitors. It is known for its world-renowned recreational opportunities, from surfing and sailing to hiking and snorkeling.
Since our founding, we have helped to conserve and steward thousands of acres of coveted open space – forested hillsides and coastal farms, naupaka-shaded beaches and coconut groves, grassy meadows and wind-swept vistas – in one of the world’s most cherished, desirable, and culturally significant locations.”
When choosing a second organization, we especially wanted to contribute to something that would aid in conserving the natural beauty of our islands and the local ecosystems. The North Shore Community Land Trust has been heavily involved in saving thousands of acres of land, desirable from the real estate market, by using funds from private donors and state and federal agencies to purchase these coveted open spaces and secure the natural legacy of the land.
While the North Shore Community Land Trust has been a huge contributor in so many conservation efforts, one in particular that stands out to me is permanent protection from development accomplished for 634 acres of coastal land by Kawela Bay, Turtle Bay, and Kuhuku Point. The land here encompasses one of the last wild shorelines on O’ahu - it’s irreplaceable and because of the joint efforts of the North Shore Community Land Trust among many others, it will be protected and preserved for years to come - “providing nesting reas for threatened Hitraan green sea turtles and near threatened Laysan albatross, birthing and resting areas for the endangered Hitraan monk seal, and open waters for migrating whales just offshore in the crystal-clear ocean.”
By contributing to the North Shore Community Land Trust with every item in our Tides Collection, we hope to help to aid then in preserving the natural beauty of our home island. If you are interested in contributing to this organization further, we encourage you to volunteer for their monthly restoration efforts or donate!

Our team at Crimson tavernorlando is incredibly humbled by the opportunity to use our influence to make positive change and aid our community. The donations made by us to these organizations will be ongoing with every sale and every restock of our Tides Collection pieces. Mahalo nui loa for being a part of this positive change with us!
UPDATE: We've made our first of many donations THANKS TO YOU!!
